Voya Vest
“The great benefit of slowing down is reclaiming the time and tranquillity to make meaningful connections–with people, with culture, with work, with nature, with our own bodies and minds” - Carl Honoré
In an industry that is moving at an accelerated pace, MacFarlane values gaining connection and appreciation for handwork, honouring a slower way of working.
“Voya Vest” is part of a '“mendfullness” project which aims to reconnect with oneself as well as the traditions of others. The garment was purchased second-hand, in worn condition. MacFarlane then used mending techniques, synthetic dyes and embellishments to give the old garment, a new life.
