Sophie MacFarlane

Born and raised in Vancouver, BC Sophie’s passion for creativity, self-expression and textiles led her to study Fashion Design and Technology at the Wilson School of Design at KPU.

From a young age, Sophie was infatuated with how clothing could make her feel, strengthening her self-confidence and personal identity. After learning to sew, MacFarlane gained a deep appreciation and admiration for the art of textiles.

MacFarlane’s connection to the environment and drive to reduce her environmental footprint translates through her work as she prioritizes sustainable designs from sketch to production.

Sophie aims to design timeless, versatile garments, mindfully made with their environmental and ethical impact driving all design decisions.

Her passion for bringing awareness to the issues of the fashion industry, and inspiring others drives her curiosity and eagerness to continue to learn, growing her skills and expanding her knowledge.
